The choice in the garden. What was the result? They got something God did not want them to have. Conscience. And intense consciousness.

 

And Adam said,

 

I heard your voice in the garden, and
I was afraid, because
I was naked; and
I hid myself.

 

His awareness of self has been intensified. This is what he means by naked. Detached. Disconnected. Afraid. Of what? All that is not him.

 

He is detached from Eve and puts blame on her.
Worse, he is detached from God.

 

Jesus came to end our detachment from God and others. Nature? We’ll, that is another story.
